Kurrawang Aboriginal Christian
Centre Photo Album Ann and I spent 8 months working at Kurrawang in a 6 month trail mission period. We had only been married for six months when we started, and this lead to Ann being very home-sick for her family and she suffered a bit from the heat also, so we did not stay for the long distance as we had intended. Kurrawang is half way between Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
Snapshots from the old Family Album This is a small sample of the photos in our old family album, going back many years. The photos are scanned from old prints or transparencies (slides), and were taken by me or a member of my family, or on our behalf, and copyright is retained by us in all cases. Due to the age and deterioration of the prints and transparencies, image quality may be rather poor in some cases. All photos taken and copyrighted by Max Jefferies unless otherwise indicated. Please only use my images for private or non-commercial purposes. Contact me with all commercial use requests to Max@spiritland.net (please copy into email address). Any photos in this gallery taken by other persons are indicated and are copyrighted by them. It needs to be said that this is the OLD Kurrawang that Ann and I were involved with, and that Kurrawang is entirely different today from what you see in these images.

One of Ann's jobs was to run the shop and visitors centre.

has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time... Though now you do not see Him*, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls." ( * Jesus ) Letter - 1st Peter ch.1 vs.3-9. The Holy Bible - New King James Version
