"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains,
of ragged mountain
ranges, of droughts and flooding rains. her beauty and her terror- the wide brown land for me!"

"And down by Kosciusko, where the pine-clad ridges raise,
Their
torn and rugged battlements on high,
At
midnight in the cold and frosty sky,
To the breezes,
and the rolling plains are wide, And the stockmen tell the story of his ride."
Excerpt from "The Man From Snowy River" © Andrew Barton 'Banjo' Paterson

"In my wild erratic fancy visions come to me of Clancy
Gone a-droving "down the Cooper" where the western drovers go; For the drover's life has pleasures that the townsfolk never know. And the bush hath friends to meet him, and their kindly voices greet him
In
the murmur of the breezes and the river on its bars, And at night the wondrous glory of the everlasting stars."

Residence: Perth, Western Australia. W.A. covers about one-third of Australia, being the largest of the eight states and territories. It has a population of only 1.8 million people spread over 2.5 million sq. km, so there is plenty of room to 'get away from it all' and enjoy God's creation.
Profile: I have been taking photographs of Australia for over 40 years, having travelled extensively around and through this wide, colourful and diverse island continent. From deserts to the snowfields, from the beaches to the outback, from the cities to the rainforests, Australia has it all in just one country - no passport required. This website is my hobby, and as such is an ongoing project of adding and perfecting. I am currently working on adding a few more galleries and photos to Spiritland.net, plus comments to existing albums. One of the main aims of this website is to promote Australia (the Great South Land) to the world, its God-created natural beauty and Christian heritage.
Other Website: I have recently started my first venture into a commercial website selling Bumper Stickers / Decals of my own unique Australian Designs. Please visit my SPIRITLAND.com.au online shop to check out some great stickers / decals. We post anywhere in the world and have secure credit card payment in our shopping cart. What happened to the maxEphotos.net website name?
Image Value & Copyright: The value of an image is not just in paper and ink costs, but rather in the
time, effort, vehicles and fuel costs to get to locations in a BIG country; photographic equipment and
computers, software and websites; and paper and inks; plus something for
expertise and intellectual rights. A fair go - the Aussie credo!
All photos were taken and are copyrighted by Max Jefferies unless otherwise
Site last worked - June 2010. |

"Australia! Australia! most beautiful name,
Most kindly and
bountiful land;
If a black cloud
should rise on the strand;
Let them come! Let them come when
they will! That her children shall fight while the Waratah grows, And the Wattle blooms out on the hill."
