Trip Around Australia by the Jefferies 1981

Part 3 - Queensland, New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory

Around Australia Trip 1981  -  Part    1   -   2   -   3  -  4

Dad (Gordon) & Mum (Irene), Max & Ann, Matthew & Daniel. The trip took 5 months and covered over 24,000 kms,

mostly on Highway 1. Dad & Mum supplied the car - Holden HQ with a new 202 six engine and a V8 radiator.

Ann & I provided the caravan - 22' Modern with 4 bunks down the back & a swing-down double bed over the front lounge.

We headed north from Perth and did the top-end first as this was the right time to avoid the cyclones and hot weather.

The car had a high-ratio ute diff which pulled the caravan reasonably well (surprisingly!). It also had new pump-up

rear shockies, new set of light-truck radials, two spares for the van and load-levellers for the hitch.

These are selected images scanned from slides from the trip - many photos were damaged by fungus and dumped.

This is a small sample of the photos in our old family album, going back many years. Many of the photos are

scanned from old prints or transparencies (slides). Due to the age and deterioration of some the prints and

transparencies, image quality may be rather poor in some cases.

All images taken by Max Jefferies or a member of my family, or on our behalf,

and copyright is retained by us in all cases and can only be used for private purposes.

We visited a castle with lots of miniature settings, but most of the slides got destroyed through mold.

The molasses smell was overpowering.

We took a tourist boat day trip out to the islands of the Whitsundays - on a cold, wet day.

The first island we visited was Hayman Island.

Then went on to Daydream Island.

Refuting Evolution 2

(Updated.)    Respected CMI scientist Dr Jonathan Sarfati, author of the best-seller

Refuting Evolution, has written a sequel that comprehensively refutes arguments to

support evolution (as presented in TV documentaries and Scientific American).

Read world-leading evolutionists in their own words, and then find straightforward

answers from science and the Bible. Refuting Evolution 2 will prepare you to answer

the best arguments thrown at you by peers, teachers, neighbours and sceptics.

A conversation with Dr Jonathan Sarfati, the author of "The Greatest Hoax on Earth"
Jonathan Sarfati's PhD is in Physical Chemistry.  He explains a notorious hoax that showed that

if you say the right words, most evolutionary scientist will believe anything!

Being the last day of the season, all the lifts were free. Awesome!

There was a blizzard that night covering the snowfields, and they re-opened the fields for another two weeks.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy

has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time...

Though now you do not see Him*, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls."
