2010 CYC Camp Cooloongup Photo Album

CYC Lake Cooloongup has changed its name to 'Camp Cooloongup' and is in Baldivis near Rockingham.

This is an update photo album for the current site..

Camp Cooloongup is one of the few facilities in Western Australia able to manage a wide range of activities and accommodation within the

same grounds, at amongst WA's most competitive prices. CYC's long and rewarding history of serving the West Australian community

began in the 60's and continues to enjoy and experience a culture of continual improvement. The rooms are well appointed with a choice

of six and eight bed fully carpeted dormitories, most with their own shower and toilet. In addition the camp offers motel units with en-suites,

a laundry, leaders lounge, disabled toilets, craft room, tuck shop, managed office, photocopying....and more.

A Google Earth View of CYC Camp Cooloongup block taken a few years ago - it is still much the same,
but the block on the north side is now a Retirement Village and the driveway has changed as photos show below.

The New Entrance to CYC Camp Cooloongup off Mandurah Road, Baldivis, were it shares its access with the new Lifestyle Village next door.

As you enter the campsite, the meeting hall is on the left and the oval is on the right.

The Lower Nissan Hut houses the office for Christian Youth Camps Inc. (CYC) and Camp Cooloongup's site office.

It is one of the two original Nissan huts built for the campsite and was used as a meeting hall and games room.

It is now also used as an After School Care Centre which has helped finance the campsites sustainability.

The Upper Nissan Hut houses the campers office and PA system, the Camp Tuck Shop and Games Room.

The First Aid Room is also in this building.

CYC Camp Cooloongup's Dining Room and Kitchen is modern and well presented with covered entrance ways for the campers.

The Dining Room is a fun, bright space.

The Dining Room was extended for more table space and allows an extra meeting area if needed.

There are two wood stoves in the dining area, which make it a great place to have small get-togethers during the winter.

All meals are provided to campers by the Camp Cooloongup staff who are very friendly and accommodating.

Full high-pressure washing facilities meet all health standards. Tea and coffee are always on-tap for campers.

The outside barbeques near the kitchen can make a great meal alternative - all supplied by the camp staff.

It also has several small rooms around the edge for discussion groups.
