CYC Lake Cooloongup Photo Album CYC Lake Cooloongup has changed its name to 'Camp Cooloongup' and is in Baldivis near Rockingham. Ann and I spent two and a half years at the campsite as the first onsite managers and caretakers.
Camp Cooloongup is one of the few facilities in Western Australia able to manage a wide range of activities and accommodation within the same grounds, at amongst WA's most competitive prices. CYC's long and rewarding history of serving the West Australian community began in the 60's and continues to enjoy and experience a culture of continual improvement. The rooms are well appointed with a choice of six and eight bed fully carpeted dormitories, most with their own shower and toilet. In addition the camp offers motel units with en-suites, a laundry, leaders lounge, disabled toilets, craft room, tuck shop, managed office, photocopying....and more.
Snapshots from the old Family Album This is a small sample of the photos in our old family album, going back many years. The photos are scanned from old prints or transparencies (slides), and were taken by me or a member of my family, or on our behalf, and copyright is retained by us in all cases. Due to the age and deterioration of the prints and transparencies, image quality may be rather poor in some cases.

Before Ann and I could take up position as manager/caretakers, a home had to be built on site.

Next was the re-shaping of the oval and bank, and the building of steps.
Me on the back-blade of my former work tractor that I was able to borrow for a week, from a small bitumen paving company.
A new entrance way was also installed and the driveway was re-sprayed.
